My plans for an original shoot went a bit off course, so I went ahead worked more with HDR editing on the RAW photos I shot in Switzerland. All the practice seems to be paying off; in the amount of time it took me to create the first image I posted, I was able to create these four photos.
I have to admit, with my background being in journalism, the HDR is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. When shooting for the news, the only real modifications I can make to a photo are basic exposure and color correction adjustments. Being able to just go crazy and apply all of the different editing tricks that I’ve learned is basically the artistic equivalent eating cookies for dinner, and jumping on the bed for me.
